FAQ

Clear answers before you decide.

The service is intentionally narrow. These are the questions families most often ask about what Solmira does, what it does not do and how engagements work.

Is Solmira home care?

No. Solmira is a private-pay, non-medical concierge service. There is no hands-on personal care, nursing or medication administration. When needs move into clinical or personal-care territory, we say so directly and help the family coordinate with an appropriate provider.

How does transportation work?

Solmira does not provide transportation and our team does not drive clients. Transportation is arranged independently by the client or family. The concierge meets the client at the destination and can accompany them through the appointment.

Can you manage medications?

No medication administration or clinical medication management. A concierge can pick up prescriptions and can document what a clinician said, but does not decide what a client should take or change.

Do you handle money or bills?

No. Solmira does not manage finances, hold cards, access accounts or pay bills. Purchases made on a client's behalf use a documented reimbursement process agreed in advance.

Will I get the same concierge every time?

Continuity is central to the service. Clients are introduced to their concierge before service begins, and that familiar person is the ongoing point of contact.

What does the family receive after a visit?

A written update describing what occurred, what was said and what follow-up items were identified. Information is shared only with people the client has authorized.

Are memberships long-term contracts?

No. Memberships are month-to-month. Included hours reset on the renewal date and unused hours do not roll over.

What if my parent needs more help than Solmira provides?

We will say so. Solmira can work alongside home care, home health, care management and other licensed providers, but does not substitute for them.

Where do you serve?

Solmira serves the Columbus metro, including New Albany, Dublin, Upper Arlington, Westerville, Worthington, Gahanna, Reynoldsburg, Hilliard and Franklin County, subject to availability.

How quickly do you respond?

Consultation and referral requests are generally acknowledged within one business day. Service hours are Monday through Saturday, 8am to 7pm, subject to availability.
